This remix was born into the world after holding DJ 19’s “Phututefunk” remix contest at several well-known Japanese electronic music download websites. There was no definitive winner, so 19BOX RECORDINGS has decided to release a commissioned remix.

SOTA S., who has previously released the “Kinky Japanese EP” on 19BOX RECORDINGS, is a multi-talented jack-of-all-trades. DJing, production, and designing all fall into his lap with ease.  He is most well-known as the organizer of TORTURE GARDEN JAPAN - which is one of the world’s most famous international fetish parties. SOTA has brought rock-based remix that will remind you of the original motif of “3 A.M. Delightful”.

Lastly “3 A.M. Delightful” was originally released in 2008 done by DJ 19 & THOMAS PENTON.

“Rainforest” is taken from DJ 19's long awaited debut album, "Phuturefunk".  It’s a cover version of DJ 19’s namesake artist, Paul Hardcastle. "Rainforest" became known as Hardcastle’s first breakthrough record in 1984.  The original version gained prominence on the R&B market (Ranked at No.5) – even though it was an instrumental track.

Herein, we have DJ 19’s revised version.  The original electro feel is there, but modern house beats and other elements have been added.  For the single, DJ 19 has re-arranged the album version to have a devastating effect on the dance floor. The result is an impressive reproduction that both updates and retains the integrity of the original.

While an explanation may be unnecessary, it’s worth pointing out that DJ 19 draws his name from Paul Hardcastle’s Vietnam-broadcast sampling hit “19”.

"Mash Up" was commissioned as the  theme music of  "Mashup Musio"; a music program made and broadcast by the Sendai Television Incorporated. Since the original was just 45 sec, DJ 19 had the idea to release this as an extended version.  The extended version is based upon the original version, which hints at CHEMICAL BROTHERS influences, but now with new elements courtesy of the assistance of THOMAS PENTON.

Another remix is done by LOCALIZER, who was first introduced to the hyponotizing sounds of EDM in 1999.  Since then, he has gained respect for many producers and the work they have accomplished in being able to create tracks which provide momentum to the nightlife.  At this time, LOCALIZER, or KABIR SINGH, will be attending medical school in hopes of one day achieving an MD.  As such, he will slowly hone his skills when time permits him.
