19BOX RECORDINGS returns with a new EP from the notable young producer BLUE SATELLITE with the single – “Pt. Deux” as a follow up to debut single “Paris”.  There is no “Pt. Un” prior to this release, but it will be on the track listing of his forthcoming album.

Inspired by Japanese fusion sound, “Pt. Deux” is a ravishing release worthy of a prime position in your CD wallets.  The Original Club Mix revolves around hard hitting synth chords and chopped-up guitar samples which sit on top of growling 8Bit elements.

SAMOTAREV(ALEXEI SAMOTAREV) is known as a member of the Rostov-on-Don-based Russian project PYTHON.  He is also a label owner of GREEN SNAKE RECORDS. Recently he’s been focusing on solo work, and has had positive feedback from JOHN DIGWEED, EELKE KLJEIN, NOEL SANGER, SPOOKY and amongst others.

PRESS
19BOX (JUKEBOX) RECORDINGS is proud to announce their biggest package of 2010 so far, a collaboration between 19BOX's label boss DJ 19 and the UK's MOUSSA CLARKE (OVEN READY, ARMADA, SLAMMIN, DUMB and more) .

The Original Version was featured on DJ 19’s recent “Phuturefunk” album. Now the upgraded versions for the single release feature the vocal talents of HIROKO INOKUCHI, who sings in a Japanese tradi-tional style called Shigin.

This folk singing is a type of Japanese poetry that is usually chanted either individually or in a group. HIROKO INOKUCHI's father recited Shigin poetry to her from an early age. As a result of her dad's influence, she started learning Shigin from the age of 3, and in time has become one of the biggest ex-ponents of the art. Since her rise to fame, she has won many national awards and contests in Japan.

The new mixes are all huge in their own right. MOUSSA CLARKE leads the pack with a quirky and dev-astatingly effective big room houser, while DJ 19 keeps the old school piano vibes alive while turning up the progressive dial. Further remixes come from Canadian outfit LES BOYZ ELECTRO in the form of a very current-sounding piece of melodic euphoria, Egyptian house hero TAMER FOUDA with a tribal-tastic slammer, and last but not least, Belgium's DIMIX with some rocking big-room techno vibes.

The project is a multi-national collaboration and a melting pot of dancefloor styles – just how we like it here at 19BOX towers.

19BOX(JUKEBOX) RECORDINGS has closed a deal with JAFROSAX.  JAFROSAX is the project of KAZUKI KA-TSUTA from the famous Japanese jazz-fusion band DIMENSION.  JAFROSAX mixes KATSUTA’s saxophone playing with great vocalists layered to the sounds of house, drum'n'bass, chillout and broken beats. YUKIHIRO FUKUTOMI, JAZZTRONIK, MAKOTO, DJ MITSU THE BEATS and VIKTER DUPLAIX are amongst some of the wealth of talent that has been assembled together on this project.

19BOX RECORDINGS licensed and released JAFROSAX’s “Saxtatic” – which was produced by DJ 19 & THOMAS PENTON in 2006. "Saxtatic" received positive reactions from DJ’s like MOUSSA CLARKE, ANTHONY PAPPA and many more. 2010 sees JAFROSAX move from the KONAMI label to 19BOX RECORDINGS.

“Xposure” was produced by DJ 19 & NOEL SANGER, who delivered a remix on “Saxtatic” too. As a result they have expanded and remixed the original by and added new acidic house flavours.

Rising stars BLUE SATELLITE delivered a fantastic reinterpretation in the indie-disco realm.

VALID EVIDENCE is Japanese Balearic outfit formed by DJ 19 & YU-TA. This is the second installment of a remix collection, which was originally taken from their debut album “This Is A Journey Into Sound”.

LERON & YVES EAUX from Holland have prepaired 2 mixes of "Mother Earth" with help of new act ARNOLD from Mumbai, India. The original has a CHICANE-esque sound, but they have added techy element to the track. LeRon & Yves Eaux have had many productions on different labels such as LITTLE MOUNTAIN RECORDINGS, VAPOUR, SPROUT, RESTART, NOIR MUSIC, BABYLON, TRIBAL VISION, PROTON and BAROQUE. They’ve also remixed for SANDER KLEINENBERG, SIMON & SHAKER, RENE AMESZ and DEEP FOREST.

"Function Junction" is a sax driven and JAYDEE-esque dance tune that features as the highlight of the album. DJ 19 has expanded and retouched it for the dance floor.

PRESS
19BOX RECORDINGS's 34 release : "Yozakura" by DJ 19 & Bjorn Fogelberg, with a remix by Thomas Penton.

'Yozakura' means 'cherry blossoms in the evening’ in Japanese.  DJ 19’s hometown in Japan has a custom that people eat and drink alcohol under cherry blossom trees. When Sweden's Bjorn made a visit to Japan, he enjoyed this Japanese piece of Japanese culture. As a result, DJ 19 teamed up with Bjorn and soon thereafter,  ‘Yozakura’ was born.

This package includes 2 mixes.  The first mix was done by DJ 19 & Bjorn Fogelberg themselves and stems from DJ 19’s “Phuturefunk” album.  Bjorn is well known as a remixer of Matt Darey, Ricky Ryan, Dumb Dan and Timo Garcia & Ricky Stone.  The original mix was expanded and made into a club mix known as quite simply, the ‘DJ Version’.  The ‘DJ Version’ doesn’t depart from the original and uses a funky and groovy bassline as it’s driving elements and will push any dancefloor.

The other remix is by 19Box’s veteran producer, Thomas Penton.  Penton has been releasing on the label for years and also has had several collaborations with label head honcho DJ 19. Penton takes the original and keeps many of the original stems, but manages to take it up to 11 and give the tune a peak time attitude that is hard to argue against.
