PRESS

PARK LIMITED MUZIK is back.  We bring you 5 tracks of techno madness all the way from UK. JONATHAN LISLE is an international DJ (and now producer) based in London.  His reputation grew as one of the resident's at John Digweed's legendary Bedrock parties.  As a result of that ever-increasing reputation, he released a groundbreaking DJ mix CD on Bedrock (Original Series 2) in 2005.  While he developed his name as a progressive breaks DJ, he has since moved away from the progressive sound and delved into a more techno based style. As a result of that progression (pardon the pun), this E.P. was born. These are collection of tracks that pay homage to his version of Techno. Every tune fits a big and dark room with all of the clicks, clangs, pops, bleeps and blips you’d expect. Highlights of this E.P. include the Dave Seaman-championed “TELEPATHINE(DRUM MIX)”.

“HEALTHY LIVING” also includes remix by PARK LIMITED MUZIK head honcho, DJ 19. He rarely remixes for his own labels, but Jonathan specifically asked him to remix to this release for PARK LIMITED MUZIK. While still dark and trippy, DJ 19’s remix adds an extra melody that has more focus on that aspect than the darker elements of the track.

PRESS

PARK LIMITED MUZIK has often prided itself on discovering fresh and exciting talent.  DJ NORY is a young and refreshing face in a slew of the same. Despite ‘Get It On’ being his debut, DJ NORY has al-ready garnered attention from top DJs due to his FUNDAMENTAL club night at WOMB in Japan.

The Original Mix is a dark progressive track that’s given an extra twist with some vocal samples. The remix is provided by Icelandic DJ/producer OCULUS; who got into DJing when he was around 14 years old.  Shortly thereafter, he was soon playing at some of Iceland’s better-known clubs. Since then he has been evolving his music and performances as a DJ or a live act. Oculus’ music has been spreading fast throughout the globe and is being released on labels based in USA, Ireland, Germany, Canada, Poland and so on. His music style spans everything from deep and atmospheric minimal to electro and bass driven techno. His remix starts out in a rather deep atmosphere; while the synth melodies interact well with the groovy bass.

PRESS

PARK LIMITED MUZIK starts out the New Year with a storming tech house and electro package.

Way back in 2003, the original “Super Queen” track was a quality circuit house-inspired workout fit for some of the world’s darker nightclubs. Label boss and all-around house don DJ 19, found he was inspired by the comic of same name.  For those who don’t know, it was the story of a woman who built her power gradually and finally she won fame as a fixer.  Sadly, the tiny European banking country of Luxembourg’s recording economy seemingly collapsed, and took along possibly it’s only house label with it – leaving the original unreleased and MARINO BERARDI’s MB Recordings out of business.  Seeing as the original “Super Queen” suffers from sounding somewhat dated and the original source files lost, DJ 19 came up with the brilliant idea of releasing it without the original version!

Fast forward to 2009…  Upcoming Canadian DJ/producer, JAY KAUFMAN steps up to remix duties that push the track into a futuristic mould.  Jay’s managed to stay under the radar over the years with his music – shying away from the spotlight.  2009 will see him return, with releases on several labels and his long overdue album.  Revealing his 1980s influences, Jay’s remix strikes of Japanese electronic music gods YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA (YMO) and DEPECHE MODE during their Some Great Reward phase.  Pumping house rhythms, a 303-laden groove and lead riff that will stick in your head like glue, all come together to create a remix with raw tension and refined melodies.  The breakdown has its obligatory ‘Woo’ moment that should have your dancefloors reacting accordingly.

The flip side sees Luxembourgish DJ/producer MARINO BERADI step up to the plate. Mario was the original A&R man behind “Super Queen” with his now defunct label MB Recordings. Now living in Hamburg, Germany, Marino has caught everyone's attention with several of his tracks and remixes being championed by the who’s who of the worldwide DJ glitterati. Being the first Benelux producer to be released and licensed on prestigious American labels like SUBLIMINAL and WAVE MUSIC, Marino is also making waves with his unique progressive production style that has seen him release principally on Belgian imprint, WALLY'S GROOVE WORLD.  Other material has been released on FRESHFRUIT, RIVIERA and 19BOX RECORDINGS. His two most acclaimed tracks, “Expression in E Dub” (licensed by FRANÇOIS K for WAVE) and “Plan B” are reminiscent of the golden age of house music in the early 1990s.   This sound has seen him get the appropriate accolades from the likes of DARREN EMERSON, Mr. C, COLIN McBEAN and many more.

This is one of PARK LIMITED MUZIK's best releases in years. TC MANIAK are on a mission this time; providing a balance in between sensuous techno-inspired chords and a subtle house groove on "PUBIC STRANGE".  If that lush combination doesn’t suiit your electronic palette, remix duties come courtesy of the Russian duo DOROHOV & SERGE QUE.

DINTON MANIAZ aka TC MANIAK was born during a restless time in West-Africa. His parents sent him to a music school in Monrovia at the tender age of 3 - whereby he was taught the basics of African music and instruments. In 1980 his family was forced out of Liberia because of a coup and his father’s involvement as a government advisor. At the time, it appeared it was going to be the end of his musical career.  After settling safely in Switzerland he took up piano lessons and went on to garner a degree from The Academy of Music with Honours. During his studies, he was bitten by the dance music bug and he started DJing at the little known 'The Qul' club in the exclusive retreat Les Dureux in the Swiss Alps. After acquiring an Akai MPC sampler, he started producing his own blend of dance music. Already having numerous hits to his name and releases on labels like SPROUT, READY MIX and COMPOSURE, he transported himself into the bodies of well known Dutch producers, PAKO & FREDERIK – simultaneously producing remixes and spawning tracks like "Le Ultra Fresh" and "Damnamite".  Perhaps PAKO & FREDERIK and TC MANIAK are one and the same?  Only TC MANIAK’s piano teacher in Monrovia will ever know (or not).

DOROHOV & SERGE QUE approach "PUBIC STRANGE" from a melodic frame of mind. DOROHOV is well known for his KOALA project, in collaboration with ANATOLY VORONTSOV. He's been worked for several top-notch labels like PLATIPUS, LOST LANGUAGE, CUBA, PRESSLAB and 3BEAT. SERGE QUE started his career about 15 years ago at the famous Peter Gatien-owned NYC club, The Tunnel. After a few years he moved over to Gatien’s other NYC club, Limelight, as a resident DJ and music director. In 2006 SERGE moved to Moscow to pursue a career in event management. Currently he is behind ‘Dance Factory’; which is one of the most listened to radio shows in Russia. This show provides him an audience of over 375,000 people in Moscow alone. QUE has released several MIX CDs, such as "Vapourise" with an Australian progressive legend KASEY TAYLOR, and "19box Into The Battle In Russia" with 19Box head honcho DJ 19.

Get ready for the sound of odd behaviour in your pelvic area.  Get ready for Pubic Strange.
